What do you know about the Fatima incident, one of the mysteries hidden in the depths of history? Did the Virgin Mary, one of the holy people of Christianity, really appear many years after her death? What prophecies did Blessed Virgin Mary make? Or did Blessed Virgin Mary really make a prophecy? Let's take a brief look at this mysterious event.

More than 50 thousand people. They were all together, watching the sky in a rural area of ​​Fatima, which has now become a very famous city in Portugal. The date is Saturday, October 13, 1917. It's around 2 in the afternoon. What brought them here was the news in the newspapers. A miraculous event was going to happen there that day. Some people's curiosity, some people's faith, and some people's doubts had brought him here. Some were hoping to strengthen their faith, while others were preparing to make fun of themselves, thinking that nothing would happen.

Before this incident, we need to take a brief look at the social life in the country where the incident took place. Portugal became a republic in 1910, and the new administration took a very harsh attitude towards the Catholic Church. The cults were first closed and then banned. Most priests were exiled from the country, their assets were confiscated, and most of the church's privileges were terminated.  According to the general approach in the press at that time, the visions allegedly experienced by three young children in Fatima should not be taken seriously at all. Maybe it shouldn't have been taken seriously, but let's see that whether it was a dream or an image, if he gave you a date six months later and said he would come again, that issue would be taken seriously. There is no problem with this part of the whole story. These were what the three little shepherds said. What about what happened on October 13, 1917?

Let's rewind the story and examine it together; Would you take it seriously or not?

On May 13, 1917, Lúcia dos Santos (9 years old) and her cousins ​​Francisco (8 years old) and Jacinta Marto (6 years old) were caught in the rain in the Cova da Iria crop field where they were herding their family's sheep. While the children taking shelter under an oak tree with their sheep experience frightening moments when a lightning strikes the tree, a female figure dressed in white appears over the tree and tells them not to be afraid, then asks them to build a church in this area. According to some sources, the Virgin Mary, who came from the skies, was on the tree with her rosary in her hand and promised them that she would come again on October 13, 1917. Yet, the children had not said that the person introduced himself as the Virgin Mary. However, as this news buzzed through the hood, its formation changed, and the statement that he/she would give a big sign that everyone could see had a great impact and turned the event into a religious atmosphere. Until that specific date, the image continued to appear to the children on the 13th of each month.

And finally the day of that last meeting came. On October 13, 1917, tens of thousands of people flocked to Fátima, including journalists who were completely opposed to the Catholic Church. The heavy rain that fell throughout the night had covered everything in mud, and the weather was overcast in the morning. The children said they saw the Virgin Mary and some other figures, but no one in the crowd could see them. The only people who saw it were three children, and to skeptical eyes, there was nothing extraordinary about it.

But suddenly something started to happen. First, the clothes of the people who had been waiting in the mud suddenly dried. Then a cry rose from the crowd: "Sun, Sun!" Everyone looked up. The sun should normally be dazzling after the rain, but people could easily look at it. It was as if the sun was spinning in place, turning into a pearlescent disk and scattering colorful lights around and on the crowd watching it. Suddenly, it began to descend towards the onlookers. While some screamed in panic, the sun zigzagged back into the sky and returned to its place. And this event went down in history as the "Miracle of the Sun".

The eldest of three children was Lucia. After her last appearance in October, she reported to the parish priest that she had heard the woman appearing on the tree say, “Build here a chapel to Our Lady.” Jesuit priests in the Fatima area later announced to the world that the mother of Christ had appeared in Fatima to transform people into the “Immaculate Heart of Mary.”

So what exactly did three children named Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco say they saw at the top of the oak tree?

Below is a summary of the descriptions of Fatima's appearance from page 18 of the book “Heavenly Lights, Appearances of Fatima and the UFO Phenomenon” published by Portuguese historians in 2005. The authors of the book are Dr. Joaquim Fernandes and Fina D'Armada.

She was feminine in appearance and had a very beautiful figure. He/she was surrounded by a “blinding” light. He/she was about 3.5 feet tall (Approx. 1 meter) and appeared to be between 12 and 15 years old. She was wearing a white skirt, jacket, and perhaps a cloak. Her skirt and jacket had checkered patterns embroidered with gold thread. He had two or three ropes around his waist. He was wearing something on his head that covered his ears and hair. His eyes were black. She had a rosary-like string of beads, some kind of hoop earring around her neck, and a shiny ball around her waist. It came from above and slowly disappeared back into the sky. There was no movement on her face and she wasn't moving her legs. He/she was speaking without moving his lips. He only moved his hands from time to time. He/she turned his back on the children as he ascended into the sky.

Furthermore, in the “1923 Official Interrogations” by the official Catholic Fatima Local Investigation unit, Lucia did not say that this apparition was the Virgin Mary. Lucia told the Church inspectors that when she asked the little, bright young lady hanging at the top of the oak tree where she was from, the lady “pointed to the sky and said she came from there.”

In the second book of their trilogy about the Fatima events of 1917, historians focus on “the conspiracy to cover up the true origins of the Fatima prophecies.”

Two Portuguese writers have requested permission from Catholic Church authorities to access the original records of the Fatima event, which have been kept secret by the Church in the archives at the Fatima Shrine since 1917. Let's quote from the press release about the new book:

"For the first time, they tell the esoteric history of the Church-concocted 'cover story' that shaped our modern view of the Fatima incident and concealed its true significance as the first major UFO near-encounter of the 20th century. At the heart of the matter is a conspiracy by the Jesuits to conceal the fact that the beings the children encountered at Fatima were not gods descending from the sky, but alien beings visiting our planet from 'elsewhere' in the vast cosmos."

In an interview with them, the following question is asked. What was it about the incident in Fatima that made you make the connection about UFOs and aliens?

As there are many testimonies of disk-shaped vehicles that start out silver in color, but become transparent, revealing the bodies of the three beings inside. There were strange angel-like faces. There were ghosts floating above a particular oak tree in a field. We interpreted the woman atop the oak tree as a holographic reflection from a craft above.

The description of the being floating above the oak tree seemed to be directly linked to a beam coming from above, beaming from above and reaching up into the clouds. There was a low cloud ceiling. When turned off, it retreated into the clouds. It looked like a projected image.

The air shook and literally dried everyone out. It had rained, but everything around them, the clothes and the ground, was completely dry. Five or six people also reported immediate improvements, cures.

If such technology existed and people saw the disks and the beings inside the disks and saw the rays reflecting the transparent beings, did the Jesuit priests force Lucia to lie?

My answer would be yes! (laughs) There is Fatima I and Fatima II. Fatima I concerns children and eyewitnesses of the events of 1917. Fatima II is the version that was put together by the Jesuits and went down in history. What the authors try to explain is the political background of that period, that church and state were one whole before the establishment of the Portuguese Republic. Many church clergy were exiled from Portugal and fled to the Dorothean monastery in Pontevedra, Galicia, in northern Spain.

18-year-old Lucia was kept in one of these convents, where speaking was forbidden. However, the Jesuits visited her regularly and told her what to do. Jesuit priests exiled from Spain visited her and created their own version of the Fatima story in the years after the apparitions.

Journalists who were there that day wrote down what happened with astonishment, and the news spread rapidly. In the long term, the revelations at Fátima led to a revival of the Catholic faith in Portugal. However, two of the three children who said they saw the miracle could not witness this transformation. Francisco and Jacinta died in the Spanish flu epidemic that broke out after the First World War. Only Lúcia survived and, as a nun, she devoted her life to the Church. She passed away in 2005, at the age of 97. How free Lucia was is one of the debatable issues.

A funeral ceremony was held at the Coimbra Cathedral for Lucia, who chose to become a nun in 1948 and entered the Order of St. Teresa of Carmelo. According to Vatican sources, Mel Gibson, director and actor of the movie "The Sorrows of the Christ", was among the celebrities who personally met with Sister Lucia during her visit to the Coimbra Monastery in July 2004.

That's the story, friends. The sun rising into the sky in zigzags reminds us neither of the Virgin Mary nor of Jesus Christ. This is how the Fatima Incident, visible and invisible, went down in history with its unexplained secrets. While most people reinforced their religious beliefs, some were looking for other explanations. As usual, another secret has been buried in history at a point where we cannot say it has been revealed.
